Dr. Henry Yukevich is one of the newest teaching additions to the fantastic staff in the Humanities and Communications Department.

Yukevich grew up in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania and completed his undergraduate degree at and Grove City College in Pennsylvania. After his stint in undergrad, Yukevich set his sights on graduate school, attending the University of Dayton where he met our very own Christine Olding. Following his tenure at Dayton, Yukevich began his PhD studies, which he completed at Indiana University Pennsylvania. During his time at IUP, Yukevich specialized in romantic poetry, and did his dissertation over, 鈥減oetry in response to natural disasters.鈥�

On top of completing his education, Yukevich worked various jobs, such as an IT assistant, wrote sample essays for the law admissions council, and had brief jobs at Lowe鈥檚 and a CD store. While at Dayton he began officially teaching freshman composition before moving on to his doctorate studies, all culminating in his first teaching job in Joplin, Missouri. Joplin brought Yukevich a new opportunity at a high school where he taught AP English classes, he said, 鈥淚 feel like that鈥檚 where I really became a better teacher.鈥�

Yukevich, with newfound experience, rolled into his current position at 快播. He currently teaches a humanities seminar and technical communication. Along with teaching, Yukevich loves music, mainly heavy metal, and he鈥檚 an avid guitar player. We welcome Henry to the HAC department, wishing him nothing but the best in his first year as a Thunder professor.
